We have a great lineup of speakers!

As the 2019 season winds down, it is time to take in some new info and work towards improving our operations for the coming season.  With that in mind we have 4 great speakers coming to show us what we can do to improve in areas of Email Marketing, LinkedIn Branding and Revenue Generation, Customer Experience, and Paid Family and Medical Leave.  We are thrilled to have Jay Karen, CEO of NGCOA, with us to share his views on Climate Change (with Golf, not the Planet)!

Our featured workshop presenter -  Michael Barber from Godfrey--  is an email marketing expert working with Fortune 500 companies and presenting all across the country.  I heard him at the Digital Summit in Boston last year -- and his presentations (he will be making 2) are NOT TO BE MISSED!

So plan to attend and plan to take home some great information for you to put into place over the off-season. This event is open to you, your key staff, GM, Pro, Superintendent, Marketing and Event staff, your business partner, interested family.   And keep in mind, if your club is an NEGCOA member- then your staff, family, and guests are considered members.

Join us on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 for a fantastic workshop with Michael Barber from Godfrey.  Michael will be presenting:

"Email 2020: Email Marketing for This Year and Beyond" -

Email isn't the sexiest marketing topic, but if done well it can lead to the best ROI of any channel in your marketing mix. Regardless of industry — even though there is more noise in the inbox and more apps for consumers to juggle — email continues to prove itself as the best one-to-one communication channel for brands, and most preferred by our customers.

But organizations continue to struggle with this channel. Whether it's sending the same email to all of our subscribers, not authenticating our domains, designing campaigns for consumers of yesteryear, being blatantly too personal, not using the right data to effectively personalize email content, not testing, not mixing up our email tactics, or simply living up to averages, we stumble all the time with email marketing.

Join Michael Barber as he leads you through a workshop that will provide you with the best, and most practical ways, to improve your email campaigns. He'll challenge your email conceptions and will show you just why this channel continues to be vitally important for marketers. You'll walk away with a renewed zest for email marketing, as well as 65+ tactics that you can use on your campaigns from the moment you step back into your office.

This workshop is perfect for all types of email marketers. Strategies and tactics will build from basic through advanced concepts. Whether you're looking for a refresher course or to learn advanced email tactics, this workshop will give you the full spectrum of insights for your email marketing efforts. If you are a veteran marketer or marketing executive who is new to the channel, attending this workshop will help you get up to speed with key concepts.

After this workshop, you'll be able to:

  • Understand why email still matters to you and the people you're trying to reach
  • Ensure your campaigns are making it to the Inbox
  • Understand how Internet Service Providers (ISPs) might be treating your campaigns
  • Know the similarities and differences for how audiences consume email, convert from it, and how different design choices impact those conversions
  • Understand email's role in cross‑channel orchestration
  • Create effective email designs
  • Perform regular email audits which are crucial to email success
  • Develop targeted emails and lifecycle messaging strategies
  • Make sure you're tracking the metrics you should be and discover those you may not be or may not know about
  • Have some insight into what the future of email might look like

This workshop will is free to NEGCOA members and their staff.  $20 for non-members, $40 for vendors.

Following the workshop, from 5:00-8:00 join us for Cocktails and Connections.  A great chance to chat with all of our presenters, other attendees, friends, and vendors.
