NEGCOA ANNUAL MEETING
Wednes
day, November 12, 2014
10:00am – 3:00pm
Brookmeadow Country Club, Canton, MA
Host:  Ann MacDonald

It feels nice to be wrapping up the 2014 golf season but now we need to turn our attention to 2015.  Our Annual Meeting is going to be an exciting program providing lots of ideas for 2015.   While part of the day will be devoted to information from a national perspective, the latter half of the day will feature local success stories from those who are pushing the proverbial envelop and delving into new areas of increasing revenue, rounds, and repeat customers.  Don't miss out-- register by November 5th.

img  Are you wondering how we are going to grow the game?
Concerned that the government is going to take over your water supply?
Are you giving up a barter tee time and wondering what it is really costing you and the industry?

Mike Hughes,
National Golf Course Owners Association CEO, will spend the morning session giving us the latest news regarding all of these issues.  He will let us know what the NGCOA is trying to accomplish with regard to Third Party Tee Time Distribution,  Growth of the Game, Appealing to the Next Generation, and legislative concerns (WOTUS).

Do you feel like you have tapped out all existing golfers in your area market?
Is everyone sharing the same pie?
Can we increase revenue for all by adding a 2nd and 3rd pie to the equation by reaching out to new markets.

Our afternoon program will deal with Emerging Markets - Can You Capture Them? Learn more about these three topics and potentially put them into play for the 2015 golf season.

img  Everyone has heard about FootGolf, but how does one implement it at a facility, what are the pitfalls to be aware of, can every course have a FootGolf course within it?  How do you get players to come and try it?  Can FootGolfers and Golfers live peacefully on the same course at the same time?  Richard Luff, Owner of Sagamore Hampton Golf Club, has established FootGolf at his facility.  He will share his experience and perhaps this will give you a jump-start to try it at your facility next season.

img FootGolf might not be for every facility due to space limitations or other constraints, but FlingGolf requires no alteration to the golf course at all.   FlingGolf, just like FootGolf, is hoping to target a non-golfing audience and get them onto your golf course within 20 minutes of holding a FlingStick in their hands.   It can be done.  It is quick to learn and easy to play.  Alex Van Alen, Inventor and Owner of FlingGolf, will be on-hand to share with you how this new sport can add new revenue to your facility.

img Perhaps you've heard the line "If you capture the kids, then you get the moms.  And if you get the moms, then you get the family".   The PGA Junior League is a great new team golf concept and it is taking off.  If you don't have it and the club around the corner does- then you are losing your juniors to that club.  And guess what, it won't be long before the moms, dads, and the rest of the family have jumped ship too.   Brian Bain, PGA Player Development Regional Manager and his host of guests will share the success stories from this program.  Imagine the kind of PR and buzz that would be created by sending juniors from your club to a national championship in Georgia.   Hear first hand how to get this program up and running at your facility.  It isn't as hard as you think.
