3:00-6:00pm Cocktail reception with indoor hitting nets and putting greens in the State House Cafeteria. A time to network with legislators.

The purpose of this event is to build relationships between those of us in the golf industry and our state legislators.  We want them to know your stories when it comes to voting on legislation that could impact your business and our industry.  We hope that you can plan to join us for as much of the day as your schedule allows.  The reception will be the primary opportunity to interact with your state Senators and Representatives.

Spearheading this event is State Senator David Soucy (Green Mountain Golf Club).  You can reach him by email at [email protected]  or by phone (802) 236-3555.   David is trying to prepare a document aligning key contacts at every golf facility in the state (owner, pro, super) and matching the legislators for each facility.  Please email him that information.

The New England Golf Course Owners Association (NEGCOA) is actively trying to promote increased involvement on legislative and advocacy fronts.  We find that we are always fighting issues on pesticide regulations, wage increases, family leave, taxes, toxic substances, and economic development.  Your presence at this event sends the message that the opportunity to be heard is important to your business and livelihood.  We hope that you can carve out some time to attend.
